Job Overview

This role is crucial to the success of our Pathways to Empowerment program, which focuses on providing mentorship, workshops, and community engagement activities for at-risk young people aged 10–17.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mentoring sessions, life skills workshops, and sports-based activities. They will also provide positive role modelling and supportive engagement with participants, as well as assist with logistics such as venue setup, transport coordination, and preparation of program resources.

Additionally, they will build supportive relationships with young people, families, and partner organisations, and support cultural safety practices in all activities.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience engaging with young people, ideally those at risk or disengaged.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Awareness of cultural safety, with experience engaging with diverse communities.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a small team environment.
  • Current relevant checks or eligibility to obtain.
