Head of Audio, Video & Systems

The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic personality and be passionate about sound and video in the performing arts.

This role involves leading a talented team, collaborating with directors, designers, and technicians to bring creative concepts to life.

Responsibilities include managing all aspects of sound and video production from equipment selection and setup to ensuring flawless execution during performances.

  • Possession of a Rigger's Certification or ability to obtain within specified timeframe.
  • Certificate III in live Production and Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate IV in live Production and Technical Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Queensland LR Class Drivers Licence or ability to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Elevated work platform (EWP) > 11 metres certification.
  • Minimum five years' experience working at a multi-stage arts centre or for a production/theatre company.
  • High level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in audio and video systems.
  • Demonstrated high-level supervisory skills, including event delivery and thorough knowledge of supervisory responsibilities under Work Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage sound and video production from equipment selection to performance execution.

Lead a talented team, collaborating with directors, designers and technicians to bring creative concepts to life.

Requirements:

Possess a dynamic personality and passion for sound and video in the performing arts.

Hold relevant certifications and qualifications.

Have minimum five years' experience in technical theatre, preferably in audio and video systems.

Be skilled in technical operations and supervisory responsibilities.
