Structural Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Perth. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on iconic and landmark building projects across Western Australia as well as national projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering structural building projects, liaising with internal multidisciplinary teams, external architects, clients, and contractors. You will also prepare sketches and calculations in support of design concepts, execute project design, detailed calculations, documentation, and contract administration, attend internal and external project design meetings, undertake site inspections and reports, and contribute to the development of the Structural team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver structural building projects
  • Liaise with internal multidisciplinary teams, external architects, clients, and contractors
  • Prepare sketches and calculations in support of design concepts
  • Execute project design, detailed calculations, documentation, and contract administration
  • Attend internal and external project design meetings
  • Undertake site inspections and reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated structural design experience of buildings, ideally in engineering consultancy
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Structural software knowledge of RAM Concept, SpaceGass, and ETABS (essential)
  • Knowledge of building stability analysis and corresponding detailing
  • Knowledge and capability across post-tensioned and reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry
