Accounting Officer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our tight-knit team at REO Group. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Process Supplier Invoices: Verify invoices for accuracy and process payments in a timely manner.
  • Manage Exceptions and Discrepancies: Collaborate with Procurement to resolve any issues or discrepancies in invoices.
  • Transaction Processing: Enter transactions into the financial system promptly and accurately.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile major supplier accounts and ensure timely payments.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized filing of supplier documentation and update the supplier database as per CFO-approved changes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • End-to-End Accounts Payable Experience: Proven experience in processing invoices, managing exceptions, and reconciling accounts.
  • Data Entry Speed and Accuracy: High-speed data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with suppliers and manage their accounts.
  • ERP System Experience: Familiarity with large ERP systems and basic Excel skills.
