Government Grants Assistant Manager

EDT Global Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Government Grants Assistant Manager to lead grant submissions, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the growth of our national grants practice.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work on a range of government grant opportunities and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for preparing grant submissions, conducting meetings and correspondence with clients, and managing junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Grant Submissions: Work autonomously in the preparation of grant submissions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Client Management: Conduct meetings and correspondence with clients, building strong relationships and providing expert advice on grant requirements.
- Documentation and Applications: Collate documentation, draft applications, and supporting documents, ensuring all necessary information is included.
- Grant Requirements: Provide advice on grant requirements, ensuring clients understand the application process and deadlines.
- Team Management: Mentor and manage junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful grant submissions.
- Business Development: Work with senior staff on more complex grant assignments, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to secure funding.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in state and federal government grants, attending training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Essential: Science, Engineering, IT, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, or Business degree.
- Desirable: Technical specialty, such as Science, Engineering, or IT.
- Essential: Existing direct grants experience of a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills from a technical, scientific, and legal perspective.
- Attention to Detail: Particular attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Project Management: Good project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Strong information and data processing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft suite.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with leadership skills, including practice management and people management.
