About the Role

Empower individuals to live with greater independence and pursue their goals. Assist participants in developing essential skills such as obtaining accommodation, maintaining tenancy obligations, overcoming isolation, and increasing connections to the community.

You will play a vital role in assisting participants in achieving their personal objectives and improving their overall quality of life. This part-time, ongoing position is located in Werribee, Victoria, with flexible hours available by negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants in developing independent living skills;
  • Provide support in completing daily tasks;
  • Develop strategies to overcome barriers that limit independence;
  • Collaborate with participants to set and achieve personal objectives;
  • Undertake administrative tasks like file noting and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an effective communicator with strong rapport-building abilities and sound organizational skills. Essential requirements include:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain;
  • All applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet the requirements of the genU Covid-19 Vaccination Policy.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health;
  • Sound understanding and experience in delivering person-centered supports;
  • Experience working in the NDIS environment.
