About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Foreperson to join our Civil Operations team at Sutherland Shire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and executing various construction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time.
  • Train new team members and develop best practices within the team.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and troubleshoot on-site challenges.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Certifications/Licences in relevant areas (Trade Certificate, Class C Drivers Licence, White Card) are mandatory.
