About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Foreperson to join our Civil Operations team at Sutherland Shire Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and executing various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field operations to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to troubleshoot on-site challenges and maintain project timelines.
  • Train new team members and develop best practices within the team.
  • Lead and oversee civil construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certifications/Licences in relevant areas (Trade Certificate, Class C Drivers Licence, White Card) are mandatory.

  • A competitive salary package from $80,196 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A 9-day fortnight with 38 hours of work per week.
