Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our client's finance team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling accounts receivable transactions, managing invoicing, and ensuring compliance with government financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure prompt payment
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Ensure compliance with government financial policies and procedures
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
  • Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in Victorian Government
