Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee the regular schedule for our Kalgoorlie Freighter, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, actively seeking opportunities to improve performance through regular communication and feedback.
  3. Coordinate and optimize the utilization of crews and equipment, including wagons, road vehicles, trailers, and other assets.
  4. Ensure fleet operations are efficient and cost-effective, minimizing operating costs through effective planning and scheduling.
  5. Liaise with providers of all elements of the logistics chain, taking corrective action where necessary to ensure customer and operational needs are met.
  6. Report forecasted service disruptions to customers, driving solutions and recovery processes to minimize impact.
  7. Liaise with internal stakeholders to schedule additional services, prioritize loading, and communicate details in emergency situations.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced logistics professional with a strong background in customer-facing logistics and supply chain management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in customer-facing logistics and supply chain management techniques.
  • IT skills, particularly in Supply Chain Management / Freight Management systems, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focus and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Collaboration and partnership skills.
  • Decision-quality and ability to make timely decisions.
  • Process improvement skills and ability to identify areas for improvement.
