Responsibilities

  • Coordinate network access and outages by preparing applications, including work clearance applications, application writing, switching instructions, system outage requests, and vicinity access applications.
  • Operate on transmission & sub-transmission apparatus effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Implement quality control measures and provide guidance to team members.
  • Assess sites to determine safest and most efficient delivery methods and mitigate risks.
  • Manage customer expectations and business needs.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a positive customer and team focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Extensive working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work, and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks.
  • Experience in preparation and lodgement of switching instructions.
  • An understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks and VESI requirements and HSEQ issues as they relate to electrical operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Flexibility to work after hours as required.
  • Trade Qualification/Cert III Power and current Australian driver's licence.
