**About this Opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment through effective planning and scheduling of preventative and reactive maintenance, in the most cost effective manner.

Key accountabilities include:

- Plan and prepare maintenance schedules in consultation with the Production Planner and Mechanical and Electrical Coordinators to minimise maintenance costs as well as maximise production time, taking advantage of all opportunities to schedule work effectively.
- Develop new and improve current maintenance work plans that are consistent with national standards, and accurately define work tasks with respect to safety, spare parts requirements, resource requirements, duration and equipment requirements.
- Organise contractors and ensure all contracted maintenance activities are undertaken as required by the maintenance plan. Perform inductions and job safety analysis with contractors and maintain the site contractor register.
- Extract and compile data from SAP in order to feed information for maintenance Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure all maintenance work orders are created, completed and all records are maintained as required.
- Ensure spare parts are available for all planned maintenance tasks.
- Participate in the regular review of maintenance spare stock holdings.
- Organise and lead weekly maintenance planning meetings, focusing on maintenance effectiveness.

**About You**

To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required:

- A Trade qualification (ideally mechanical or electrical trades)
- Experience in reliability focused maintenance in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures
- Knowledge of computerised maintenance planning systems
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
- An intermediate Excel ability
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable
