Cancer Biology and Machine Learning PhD Opportunity

Our research project seeks a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team and work on developing innovative solutions for precision medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop multiple instance learning and weak supervision models to individualise tumour type, associated biomarkers and genomic characteristics with high precision.
- Work with tumour sections to develop spatial transcriptomics models.
Key Qualifications:
- A strong academic record, including a Masters by Research or equivalent.
- Outstanding grounding in relevant disciplines including cancer biology, machine learning, data science, coding.
Benefits:
- A stipend scholarship for three and a half years to support living costs.
- A fee-relief scholarship for up to four years.
- Opportunities to work with leading researchers and access state-of-the-art laboratories.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand special category visa holder.
- Meet the entrance requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy.
- Agree to be enrolled full-time and undertake research at La Trobe University Melbourne campus if selected.
