General Practice Clinician

Seeking a skilled and dedicated medical professional to provide general practice services.
- Position is based in Cairns, providing FIFO services across Far North QLD (including Cape York communities)
- Combination of day clinic and overnight clinic rosters available
Responsibilities include:
- History taking, examination, decision making, diagnostics ordering and interpretation, clinical procedures, specialist referrals or secondary care admissions
- Clinical care of an acute or emergent patient, pending the attendance of retrieval services
- Telehealth consultations (utilising telephone, videoconference, email)
- Collaboration and liaison with other care providers to ensure an integrated approach to patient care
- Advice to nurses and other health professionals as required
- Participation in quality improvement activities (clinical audits and case reviews)
- Respect cultural diversity, including the traditional Indigenous view of health
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
- 3 years post graduate experience
- RACGP – GPT 3 or above (at least 12mths community GP experience) or ACRRM – CGT 2 and above
- Ability to meet PHC credentialing requirements
