We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead our underground technical team and drive the continued success and longevity of our Broken Hill mine.

The Technical Services Manager will provide strategic and technical leadership across mine planning, geology, survey, ventilation, and other technical functions. This role plays a key part in shaping the short and long-term success of the underground operation.

  • Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, driving their professional growth and development.
  • Oversee mine plans, schedules, and designs to achieve production and business targets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical input into life-of-mine planning and operational decision-making, leveraging expertise to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and company policies, upholding the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
  • Foster collaboration between operations, maintenance, and technical teams, promoting a culture of open communication and cross-functional cooperation.
Requirements
  • A collaborative leader with a strong technical background in underground mining, holding tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology.
  • Extensive experience in underground hard rock mining, with a proven track record of leading technical services teams and delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of mine planning, design, and scheduling, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to safety and continuous improvement, driving a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization.
