Job Title: Placement Support Worker

At Anglicare CQ, we're dedicated to supporting families and carers who open their hearts and homes to children in need.

  • Engage with carers to support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
  • Use observational and evaluation skills to contribute to the assessment of children and carers needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Child Safety Services, community agencies and elders to establish and maintain sound working relationships.
  • Provide on call services through a scheduled roster.
  • Identify carer training and developmental needs to ensure the needs of the children are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children's emotional, social and physical well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualised plans for carers and children.
  • Build strong relationships with carers, children and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to assessments and reports to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant experience in a similar field.
