You will play a key role in leading change, enhancing systems, and bringing your team along the journey as the organisation continues to evolve.

About the Role

You will oversee a team of Payroll Officers, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across multiple entities. Your leadership will foster a high-performance culture, drive continuous improvement, and ensure service excellence for internal stakeholders.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing payroll team.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leads and the National Payroll Manager on strategic payroll initiatives.
  • Champion change management and process improvement across the payroll function.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex payroll issues.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and integrations.
  • Build strong relationships with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in payroll leadership within a complex, high-volume environment. You will also possess advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, and a collaborative, resilient, and solutions-focused mindset.
