Job Opportunity Overview
The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join a project focused on the design and advanced manufacture of carbon composite H2 tanks for heavy mobility. This role will involve investigating the mechanical and adsorbent properties of Metal Organic Framework (MOF) hydrogen storage materials, as well as simulating and optimizing the manufacturing process for Rux Energy's patented MOFs.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake high quality academic research with limited supervision, focusing on the mechanical and adsorbent properties of MOF hydrogen storage materials.
- Contribute to the simulation and optimization of the manufacturing process for Rux Energy's patented MOFs.
- Collaborate with a team of researchers and engineers to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including industry partners and UNSW researchers.
Requirements
- PhD (or equivalent) in a related discipline, such as Mechanical/Aerospace/Materials/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven commitment to staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and build effective relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
