Procurement and Supply Chain Expert for Major Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Management Specialist to join our team in Brisbane.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement and contract management activities across major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic procurement plans to achieve optimal commercial outcomes;
- Managing stakeholder relationships and negotiations with suppliers to secure best value;
- Collaborating with senior managers to provide expert advice on procurement and contract management matters;
- Coordinating the development of scope of work documents and contracts with QR legal;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements throughout the procurement process;
- Negotiating prices, contract terms, and conditions with suppliers;
- Maintaining and developing databases to manage current contracts and other engagements;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum 5 years of experience working on major infrastructure projects;
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in procurement and contracts legislation;
- High-level skills in developing and managing strategic relationships with vendors;
- Ability to manage large-scale commercial contract matters and negotiate with suppliers;
- Strong people management, interpersonal, planning, coordination, and negotiation skills;
- Experience in gathering, collating, and analysing spend data to produce meaningful reports;
