About the Role:
The Fleet Allocator in our Finished Vehicle Logistics team is responsible for the day-to-day planning of deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet within the scope of responsibility, ensuring effective utilization of both CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers, against customer and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved.
- Book additional ad-hoc transport as required.
- Ensure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperwork.
- Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles.
- Ensure all incidents, hazards, and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint.
- Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes.
Requirements:
- Experience in a fleet planning, allocation, or coordination role or similar within the transport sector.
- Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally.
- Good written and verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions, or escalate as required.
