
Compliance and Enforcement Team Lead

This role is responsible for leading a team of compliance and enforcement officers to support Tobacco Licensing Victoria. The successful candidate will be required to attend premises across Victoria to perform inspections, investigations, and/or enforcement functions.
- Lead and manage a team of staff undertaking compliance and enforcement functions including the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting.
- Work as part of a team, planning, leading and delivering compliance and enforcement actions including intelligence-led, risk-based work programs and investigations.
The Team Leader will also directly undertake some compliance functions such as, inspections, investigations and enforcement activity in more complex or sensitive cases.
The role requires flexibility to work in the field and perform duties outside of normal business hours, including evening and weekend shifts and overnight travel to regional Victoria when operationally required at different times throughout the year.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in conducting and managing complex and sensitive compliance and enforcement functions within a regulatory or law enforcement environment.
- Experience interpreting and operationalising legislation and supporting the judicial process.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills with a track record in building and maintaining successful partnerships with a broad client base, including industry stakeholders, community groups and other government and regulatory agencies.

- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience leading compliance and enforcement operations or investigations in a regulatory or law enforcement context.
- A Victorian Drivers' Licence (or equivalent).
