About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team at Credit Union Australia. As a key member of our Digital Experience team, you will play a critical role in shaping the digital user experience for our customers.

About the Team

The Digital Experience team is responsible for leading the digital strategy, design, and delivery of our customer experiences across channels. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will work closely with our team to deliver seamless, intuitive cross-platform journeys and slick, on-brand interfaces that support our customers and drive business outcomes.

About the Impact

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for crafting digital experiences that create and deliver customer engagement, satisfaction, loyalty, and value. You will collaborate with the wider organisation to take work from initial ideas (founded in user research) through to fully articulated, validated designs and flows.

About the Responsibilities

Design and Creation:

  • Lead the development of detailed experience designs from inception through to build and launch.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into tangible user interface proposals.
  • Integrate the latest standards in interaction design to create exceptional experiences.

User Research & Testing:

  • Craft effective research and testing strategies that deliver reliable and impactful insights.
  • Translate insights into actionable next steps and delivered value.

User Interface Design:

  • Design and develop for multiple devices using responsive design principles, usability, and customer-centric design.
  • Ensure that delivered experiences align with our design vision and quality.

Relationship Management:

  • Promote a customer-centric culture within the team.
  • Build relationships across the business and engage with stakeholders to understand, align, and deliver a usable and engaging customer service experience.

Performance, Reporting, and Improvements:

  • Compile and analyse online reporting using Google and Adobe Analytics and other relevant sources.
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and/or action continual process and procedure improvements in UX research and analysis.

About the Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior UX/UI Designer with:

  • 5+ years' experience in delivering digital experiences that create material value for customers and organisation.
  • Extensive experience with user-centred design principles and practices, web/mobile standards, typography, colour, web/mobile usability standards, and IA.
  • Experience with developing, facilitating, and reporting on UX research that builds measurable value to the business.
  • A strong portfolio of UI design that showcases your creativity and understanding of design principles and best practices.
  • Experience working with, and contributing to, UI Design Systems.
  • Experience in writing technical requirements and working closely with development teams.

About the Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Design in a relevant field (interactive design, new media, usability, etc), or equivalent experience.
  • Software essentials: Figma, Sketch, JIRA, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite, User Testing & Research tools (Maze, User Testing, Optimal, Dovetail etc).
