About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our NSW Government team. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in leading technology stack process and business improvement initiatives for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technology stack process and business improvement initiatives for the organisation.
  • Support the technical delivery and maintenance of procurement analytics products using best practice tools and governance.
  • Proactively build robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.
Requirements
  • Technically minded: Strong background in IT and experience with technology stacks, solution architecting, system migration, programming, analytics, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communicator: Able to concisely communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and adjust communication styles to the audience.
  • Strategic thinker: Identifies areas for efficiency improvements and automation, reimagines and develops solutions, avoiding entrenched practices and processes.
  • Collaborative partner: Partners with Treasury colleagues, subject matter experts, and stakeholders on requirements design and delivery, optimisation, and continual improvement to ensure the successful management of analytics platforms.
  • Analytical problem solver: Can assimilate information quickly and derive practical, timely solutions that focus on outcomes.
  • Effective leader: Has some experience supervising staff, determining operational priorities, monitoring and reviewing performance, and providing leadership and guidance to ensure staff achieve objectives and maintain a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
  • Strives for high standards: Understands the importance of enterprise-grade analytics products that can handle government expenditure transactions to meet the highest standards of probity and public scrutiny and relevant regulations.
