Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an experienced exercise physiologist in the MACARF – Heart Failure Supportive Care program. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive culture and work in state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing patients with advanced heart failure and providing exercise prescriptions both individually and in a group environment to maintain function and improve quality of life.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including telehealth, home visits, HF clinics, and group exercise programs across the NSLHD.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor or postgraduate degree in an exercise science related field with eligibility for accreditation as an exercise physiologist with ESSA.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
