Job Title: Medical Laboratory Assistant And Store Person

About This Opportunity

We seek two skilled professionals to work in our Liverpool Hospital laboratory, where you'll be responsible for unpacking and delivering stock and supplies to the main laboratories.

This role is part of NSW Health Pathology, a network that conducts over 60 million tests per annum, operating more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to safer, healthier communities through research and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various laboratory support and/or specimen reception services and/or collection services, providing assistance to laboratory staff under supervision to deliver patient-focused care.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve general issues within the laboratory environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality work output while managing competing priorities.
  • Develop strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and customers.
  • Assist with data entry, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate awareness of relevant legislation, policies, and requirements in a laboratory setting.
  • Provide previous experience in store management in a healthcare setting or equivalent.
  • Maintain a valid Class C driver's license for NSW.
