Cyber Security Consultant

As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of robust security strategies across our enterprise environments. This exciting opportunity requires a strong mix of technical expertise and advisory experience to help us assess risks, improve our security posture, and meet regulatory or compliance requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough security assessments, risk analyses, and control evaluations across systems, networks, cloud platforms, and business processes to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on compliance and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, or CIS Controls to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Support or lead complex cybersecurity projects, including cloud security reviews, identity and access management uplift, vulnerability remediation programs, and incident response readiness initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver guidance on security awareness, risk mitigation strategies, and technical documentation including security designs, risk registers, and treatment plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in cyber security roles, with a proven ability to deliver outcomes independently and make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), SIEM/SOC, IAM, and endpoint protection to effectively evaluate and implement security solutions.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, including certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP, or relevant vendor certs to demonstrate expertise.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate security-related information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure SDLC, or application security principles to ensure the integration of security throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience using tools like Tenable, Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, or similar to identify and mitigate security threats.
