Senior Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer (QCGC) Research at the UQ Centre for Clinical Research.
About the RoleAs a Research Assistant, you will perform laboratory-based research and provide administrative support for multiple gynaecological cancer biomarker and translational research projects. You will work under the supervision of senior researchers and contribute to the design, conduct, and analysis of research studies.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing and conducting research studies, including biomarker analysis from human tissue and blood samples.
- Apply advanced research skills, including literature searches and reviews.
- Assist with drafting research documentation, including ethics and funding applications.
- Conduct research in a laboratory setting, following strict protocols and guidelines.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a degree-level qualification in science or a related field, and experience in laboratory research, particularly handling human samples.
You will also have high-level administrative and computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
