Role Overview

The Financial Institutions and Professions (FIP) division is the largest segment of our Specialties Solutions group. Aon brings together risk and human capital to deliver industry insights, data and analytics, risk consulting, advice and insurance solutions to support business goals.

You will oversee a portfolio of financial clients, focusing on consistent acquisition, excellent retention and delivery across NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leaders to manage internal channel distribution relationships and drive strategic sales initiatives
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, lead tender responses and proposals, and contribute to the growth and retention of our FIP portfolio
  • Oversee market placement activities, ensuring alignment with go-to-market strategies and compliance with industry standards
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of financial clients, including the strategic management of client relationships at a senior level
  • Deliver a client-centric approach to servicing clients
  • Monitor and interpret industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments, sharing insights with stakeholders
  • Participate in key speaking opportunities at industry events to raise awareness of our brand and capabilities in the FIP space
  • Manage profit and loss for the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic targets
  • Lead and support operational changes, embedding agile practices and modern tools to enhance efficiency and client outcomes
  • Coach and lead a high-performing team, supporting career development, performance management, and succession planning
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience within the Financial Lines Insurance market with a focus on risk identification and risk transfer for FIP clients
  • Strong technical understanding of a broad range of Financial Lines Insurance products and risk solutions
  • Understanding of client profitability and business needs
  • Excellent cross-selling abilities and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Keen communication skills and demonstrated success in managing senior-level client relationships
  • Qualifications in accordance with relevant industry regulations
