Job OpportunityWe are seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our Allied Health Mental Health team. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will work with patients to develop and implement exercise programs that promote physical and mental well-being.
About the RoleThis is a 12-month, full-time graduate position with 6 monthly rotations in areas of child, youth, adult and older adult Mental Health in both community and inpatient settings. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement exercise programs for patients with mental health conditions
- Work closely with patients, carers and families to understand their needs and goals
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Contribute to the development of the Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field
- Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) by Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
- Australian working rights
- Enthusiasm for working in mental health care
- One full day of protected learning time a week
- Minimum of 4 hours of clinical educator contact per week
- Multiple supervision spaces
- Mentoring and buddy support
- Professional Development opportunities
