About the Role

The EO Security Policy Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of security policies related to guided weapons and explosive ordnance. This includes overseeing the development, implementation, and management of security policies to mitigate risks associated with these sensitive assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with the latest security regulations
  • Collaborate with Defence and Whole of Government stakeholders and regulatory bodies to develop and implement security policies
  • Lead training programs on security compliance and develop awareness materials as policies evolve or new security threats emerge
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, developing preventative measures based on findings
About Our Team

The Explosive Ordnance Branch (EOB) is responsible for the management of Defence's explosive ordnance and provides assurance that it is being managed efficiently and effectively. This includes the delivery of EO services to the ADF, including storage, distribution, and governance, as well as the management of the EO safety regime and provision of EO weapon system proof, test, and evaluation services.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an agile and enthusiastic individual with strong policy and communication skills who can develop good relationships and support networks across a wide array of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in guided weapon and explosive ordnance systems, as well as the ability to establish and monitor an Annual Assurance Program to assure the effectiveness of existing policies and identify areas for improvement.
