Career OpportunitiesWe are currently seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to join our team across all shifts and both sites. This full-time and part-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Job DescriptionThe primary purpose of this role is to deliver quality and comprehensive nursing care to all residents using a person-centred approach. While ensuring all standards of practice, legislation, and AHPRA requirements are met, you will work collaboratively with the care services and management team to supervise, coordinate, and delegate resident care to direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or Registered Nurse
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the Registered Nurse
- Assist with patient assessments and develop care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards
- Practice and promote safe, efficient, and effective nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Ensure work performed is within the scope of practice.
- Develop, implement, and assess care plans in accordance with individual needs.
- Understand each person's unique background and individual needs while providing empathetic care.
- Ensure all documentation requirements are completed daily according to ANACC and processes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds (MDR) on schedule.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training.
- In conjunction with the Registered Nurse, develop plans, programs, and initiatives to maximise care recipient outcomes while maintaining professional accountability.
- Manage and supervise a safe medication administration system when required.
- Work in partnership with Medical Practitioners and other Allied Health Professionals to develop and deliver specialised nursing care.
- Demonstrate accountability for clinical decision-making under Registered Nurse supervision.
- Assist with GP rounds when required.
- Mentor care staff when required.
- Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma of Nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
- Ability to lead and direct a care services team.
- Considerable knowledge and understanding of industry practices and relevant statutory requirements.
