The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Australian retail team.
This role will be responsible for handling everything from talent scouting to recruitment to payroll and more. You will work closely with retail leaders and store employees, creating a dynamic, supportive workplace while ensuring compliance and effective people operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with Retail Leaders for Growth: Collaborate with Regional Store Managers and Store Managers to assess, develop, and execute talent and organizational strategies.
- Master of Recruitment: Oversee the entire retail hiring process, finding the best talent and making True Society THE place to work.
- Onboarding Oversight: Guide new hires through an amazing onboarding experience, from admin to introductions, and set up for success as they embark on their in-store training.
- HR Expert: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on all things people-related - hiring, performance, employee relations, and team morale.
- Payroll Administration: Handle the intricacies of Australian timekeeping and payroll, working with our US-based payroll team and third-party systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Champion of Employee Relations: Foster a positive work culture by coaching our management team on HR matters, advising on performance management, addressing employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business (with HR Major) required.
- AHRI or CIPD Certification preferred; ongoing continued professional development to stay current with HR employment regulations and best practices expected.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required, preferably in a retail or other fast-paced dynamic sales-oriented organization.
Why You'll Love This Role:
- Make an impact: You'll be the heart of our retail HR operations, helping hire high-performing teams to build a company culture in Australia that's rooted in driving sales, building relationships, and growth.
- Fast-paced: Every day is a new adventure If you thrive in a dynamic environment, this is the role for you.
- Collaboration: Work alongside awesome retail leaders and talented teams to drive success and innovation, focused on hitting KPIs and driving sales and financial results.
