Exciting opportunities are available for High School Students currently in Year 10 looking to start their career through a School Based Traineeship in Certificate III in Dental Assisting, located in Hawthorn & hosted by Value Dental Centre.

We at Apprenticeship Careers Australia offer a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills.

Duties include:

  • Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures
  • Preparing rooms, materials, and imaging for appointments
  • Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
  • Assisting with onsite lab tasks
  • Unpacking and organizing stock
  • Data entry for lab and clinical patient notes
  • Maintaining a safe environment by performing cleaning and infection control tasks

The ideal candidate must be currently in Year 10 and able to attend one day of work, one day of schooling, and three days at school. Key skills and responsibilities include:

  • A strong ability to work in a team environment
  • A willingness to follow and adhere to policies and procedures
  • A motivated and enthusiastic high school student with an interest in the healthcare or dental field
  • A strong work ethic and motivation to learn
  • Possessing a passion for the field and driven results

We estimate that this role comes with a salary of around $55,000 per annum.
