About the Role

The Senior Landscape Architect will be a key member of our City Futures team, responsible for delivering high-quality landscape architecture projects that enhance the sense of place, amenity, and character of Glen Eira. This role involves working on a range of projects, including open spaces, streetscapes, active transport, and placemaking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement landscape architecture projects that meet the needs of the community and align with Council's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and other Council teams, to ensure that projects are well-planned and effectively delivered.
  • Provide design assistance for urban forest and green/blue infrastructure projects, and work with other teams to green the city.
  • Contribute to the development of Council's urban design and landscape architecture policies and guidelines.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced landscape architect who is passionate about creating well-designed, liveable, and vibrant open spaces for our community. You will have a strong understanding of urban design principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
  • Professional experience in management of public realm and landscape architecture projects at a variety of scales.
  • High level of design understanding, appreciation, and contemporary trends in urban design and landscape architecture.
  • Current driver's license is desirable.
