Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

 

Job Description:

The role of a Quality Assurance Supervisor is to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards. This involves implementing quality assurance activities, programs, and training for the site, as well as managing document quality control procedures and policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement quality assurance activities, programs, and training for the site
  • Manage document quality control procedures and policies to ensure products meet all quality standards, CCP monitoring, GMP audits and calibration and implementing corrective actions
  • Manage a team of direct reports
  • Look after production quality - testing on products (including chemical and microbiology clearance), environmental monitoring, product integrity, machinery compliance and all CCP's are met
  • Packaging - review product quality and standards
  • Drive compliance to all QA processes, internal and external audit compliance
  • Management of customer feedback and complaints system
  • Educate and engage staff in relation to quality standards, GMP requirements, corrective action procedures, process control and Food Safety Culture
  • Daily quality activities including line walks, product release, monitoring retention samples and issuing quality documentation
  • Assist with management of the HACCP support programs and improvement of the Quality Management System including participation in 3rd party and internal audit
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, including any workplace health and safety hazards or improvement opportunities
  • Oversee and organise the systems and processes to ensure the company maintains Quality and Food Safety Systems certification

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The right Quality & Technical Supervisor will have relevant experience across food and/or beverage. You should be highly resilient, have energy and be highly positive. Know how to engage all levels of stakeholders and across all production staff. Experience in fast and changing environments. Know how to articulate why and how you want to achieve the goals & tasks. Must have GFSI experience - BRCGS preferred. Proven experience across internal and external audits. Strong written and verbal communications skills
