Exciting Cybersecurity Role in a Major Federal Department

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team in a major Federal Government department. This critical role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the security posture of national research systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and analyzing security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential threats.
  • Leading incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, documentation, and recovery.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, recommending proactive measures to enhance security.
  • Providing guidance on the implementation of security policies and procedures in line with ISM, DSPF, and PSPF.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting.
  • Expertise in ISM, DSPF, PSPF, and their practical implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows security (GPO, Active Directory, MFA), Linux platforms, and security infrastructure (firewalls, routers, IPS).
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, XDR, and MDR, along with a strong understanding of current cyber threats and mitigation strategies.
