Job Opportunity

The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a significant renewable energy project in central Queensland. This encompasses managing construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations.

About the Role

  • Lead a diverse, multidisciplinary project team with a collaborative approach.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, respect, and performance.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and interfaces across internal teams and contractors.
  • Engage with local communities respectfully and in line with cultural heritage protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership
    • Guide all phases of project delivery, ensuring successful commissioning and quality transition to Operations.
    • Manage project schedules within approved tolerances.
    • Implement robust project controls, reporting, and governance frameworks.
  • Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)
    • Advocate HSSE principles.
    • Ensure compliance with all HSSE legislation and internal standards.
    • Address project-specific risks, including remote construction and environmental factors.
  • Contract & Commercial Management
    • Manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
    • Lead contract negotiations and claims resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years in major infrastructure or renewable project delivery, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects in remote environments, preferably in renewables.
  • Experience in delivering complex projects, managing budgets and schedules, and achieving HSSE outcomes.
