**Job Description:**

 

The Opportunity:

 

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the position of Workshop Diesel Mechanic. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain and repair mining and construction equipment
  • Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on machinery
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Completion and submission of relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with company standards

 

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades also considered
  • Previous experience with assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc)
  • A safety focus with good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and dedication to providing quality work
