Job Title: Site Quality Control Lead

As a seasoned professional in the field of quality control, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of excellence.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control strategies to guarantee adherence to contractual requirements and company IMS.
  • Ensure safety and environmental controls for QC activities on site, adhering to approved Project Quality Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • QC for Civil, Earthworks, Mechanical, Welding, E&I, Coatings, and Local Fabrication and Repair work
  • Manage QC resource levels and technical skills to meet construction schedules and commissioning execution requirements.
  • Conduct planned QC inspections on time, identifying and reporting deviations from engineering deliverables, specifications, and standards.
  • Follow up on identified deviations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain necessary QA/QC documentation and retrain as required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly QC reports as needed.
  • Ensure the required competencies and work standards are maintained by the QC team, initiating training where necessary.
  • Provide support and advice to the Construction team regarding the Project Quality Plan and Company Integrated Management System.
  • Build and maintain relationships with NDT providers and other testing contractors/vendors.
  • Participate in and facilitate all site and contractor audits according to the Project Audit Schedule.
  • Ensure follow-up on open IMS issues and report any open issues to the Construction Manager.
  • Assist with filing and development of Work Packs for handover.
  • Ensure all test documentation, records, as-builts, and related commissioning and handover documentation are completed and maintained.
Requirements:
  • Possess a relevant trade qualification or degree.
  • Hold an AS 1796 Certificate 10 or equivalent for welding.
  • Have previous experience in a Quality Control supervision role.
  • Hold a General Construction Induction - CPCCWHS1001 Card or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil and gas or similar process-led industry.
  • Be fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of API welding standards.
  • Experience in oil and gas or similar process-led industry would be advantageous.
  • Working Safely at heights.
  • Confined Space Entry.
  • Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to motivate team members and self-manage.
  • Able to oversee the delivery of QC deliverables.
