The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team at the Alexander Magit Kindergarten in Knox. This exciting opportunity will see you working with children aged three to five years, providing education and care that fosters a love of learning and promotes their overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that cater to the needs and interests of the children;
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment;
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children;
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the kindergarten team through sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification;
- Valid First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates;
- Current Working with Children Check;
- Sound understanding of child protection legislation and its implications;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and children.
Benefits
This rewarding role offers:
- An estimated salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience);
- 19 paid hours per week, including paid break time;
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am-1:45pm, and Fridays, 8:00am-3:30pm;
- 4 hours of non-contact time per week;
- Uniform and first aid allowance provided;
- Ongoing professional development opportunities;
