Home Support Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Canberra.

This role involves providing high-quality in-home support services to valued customers, enabling them to live their best life possible. The Support Worker will work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and develop personalized care plans to meet their unique requirements.

  • Personal Care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance
  • Social Support: transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, traveling to medical appointments
  • Domestic Assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Aid and Equipment Support: supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
  • Complex Needs Support: supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
  • Well-being Monitoring: monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good Interpersonal Skills: ability to build rapport and good working relationships
  • Effective Communication Skills: ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Comfortable using technology (i.e., mobile app) for accessing rosters and recording customer notes/feedback

You will also need to hold or be willing to obtain the following qualifications and certifications:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance/Criminal Record Check
  • Current First Aid certificate/CPR
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services (preferred)
