Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to provide assistance to our elderly clients in their daily lives.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing home help services including general housekeeping, personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop a personalized support plan to ensure their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Assistance: Provide cleaning, mopping, washing, folding, and ironing laundry services to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with showering, dressing, and medication management, promoting their physical and mental health.
  • Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments, social events, and other destinations, enhancing their mobility and access to community resources.
  • Social and Emotional Support: Engage in conversations, provide emotional support, and encourage social interaction to combat loneliness and isolation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification;
  • Previous experience in care work or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with technology.
