We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Housing Specialist to drive positive change for veterans and their families through our Veteran Homelessness Program.
The program is designed to provide dignified, respectful, and tailored support to ensure every veteran receives the care and assistance they deserve. Our team is committed to fostering a supportive environment that empowers veterans and their families to overcome homelessness barriers and achieve their housing goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and delivering safe, compassionate, integrated, and holistic homelessness support that prioritises the needs of veterans and their families.
- Developing and implementing individualised housing plans that engage veterans and their families in the identification and development of their housing goals.
- Applying best practice and veteran-centred knowledge and skills to empower veterans and their families to overcome their homelessness barriers and meet their housing needs.
- Case managing clients who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness, providing comprehensive support and guidance throughout the process.
- Assisting with applications for social and community housing, private rental applications, and tenancy sustainment strategies and support.
