The opportunity
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. This includes providing compassionate, person-centred care and practical support tailored to each participant's unique needs, goals, and preferences. You will assist with daily living tasks, facilitate social and community engagement, promote skill development, and advocate for the rights and dignity of those in your care. Through respectful and empathetic interactions, you will contribute to enhancing each individual's quality of life and overall well-being.
What's on offer?
- Casul & Permanent part-time employment
- Immediate start (pending mandatory NDIS requirements)
- Casual: Ordinary $ $45.94 (inclusive of 25% loading), Saturday shift $ $64.31, Sunday shift $77.81 – $82.69
- Part-time hourly equivalent $ $36.75, Saturday shift $ $55.13, Sunday shift $ $73.50
- Receive sleepover allowance $100 for sleepover shifts
- Not-for-profit salary packaging options to increase take home pay (package up to $15,900 per FBT year)

Key Responsibilities:
- Working with individuals to maintain personal care and cleanliness of the house, preparation of meals and medication management
- Assisting with skill development for independent living, recreation, learning, and community access
- Supporting and managing individuals behaviours utilising Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Completing case notes, incident reports, sleep logs and other necessary documentation during shifts
- Work as part of a team to ensure continuity of support to participants.
Skills and requirements:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or prior professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- Basic Computer Proficiency
- Rotating flexible roster (will include a combination of day, afternoon and active night, sleepovers and weekend shifts) - MUST have AVAILABILITY
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
