About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Design Lead to join our team at Atlassian. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading critical projects in our business process automation stream, working end-to-end across the entire design process from shaping to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a set of critical projects in our business process automation stream, working closely with engineering in a highly technical space, leveraging our design system and platform components.
  • Partner closely with product design teams on solution refinement, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers.
  • Mentor junior designers and collaborate with lead designers to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and pain points, using this knowledge to inform design decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our design processes and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading product design teams and delivering high-quality design solutions.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and design thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
