Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Casual Groundsperson/Garden Labourer to assist with various tasks related to garden maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina.

As a Casual Groundsperson/Garden Labourer, you will have the opportunity to work at some beautiful and prestigious sites - from private schools and retirement villages to large commercial sites and well-known sporting venues.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with garden maintenance tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Load and unload materials, plants, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Requirements
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks to the highest standards.
  • Physical fitness with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field is looked upon favourably.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to obtain a white card and a working with children check.
  • Maturity and ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
