We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. This role involves providing behaviour support to individuals with complex needs, including those with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and traumatic experiences.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with clients and their families to understand their needs and develop personalized support plans. You will also conduct assessments, design and implement intervention strategies, and provide training and resource development to optimize client outcomes.

  • Providing behaviour support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and traumatic experiences;
  • Conducting assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized support plans;
  • Designing and implementing intervention strategies to optimize client outcomes;
  • Providing training and resource development to support client independence;
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal client outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in psychology or a related field, minimum 2 years experience in direct behaviour support, and registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years experience in direct behaviour support;
  • Registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner;
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and traumatic experiences;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
