Job Role
As an Electrician, you will be part of a highly skilled team and work closely with other Maintenance tradespersons. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Service, maintain and repair electrical systems across a diverse range of equipment;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotics and automated systems;
  • Respond and rectify electrical faults and breakdowns across the facility;
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures, prioritizing safety above all else;
  • Support plant shutdowns, installations, upgrades and capital projects; and
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations and reduce downtime.

Key Requirements
To be successful, you will need to hold or be working towards a Certificate III in Electrotechnology. You will also need to have exposure to manufacturing, production or industrial environments, remain calm under pressure and prioritize high attention to safety, with knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices and procedures. While not essential, strong experience in industrial electrical maintenance, proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley/Schneider), Variable Speed Drives and reading electrical drawings, and experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and automation/instrumentation will be highly regarded.
