Opportunity

A leading manufacturing facility in Australia is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their maintenance team.

Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems across a diverse range of equipment. This will involve working closely with other maintenance tradespersons to:

  • Service and maintain electrical systems;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics and automated systems;
  • Respond and rectify electrical faults and breakdowns;
  • Follow lock out tag out procedures to ensure safety;
  • Support plant shutdowns, installations, upgrades and capital projects;
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations and reduce downtime.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies;
  • Exposure to manufacturing, production or industrial environments;
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • Strong attention to safety, including knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures.
What experience are we looking for?

Prior experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in food or manufacturing, would be highly regarded. Additionally, proficiency in PLCs, variable speed drives (VSDs) and reading electrical drawings would be an asset. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and automation/instrumentation would also be beneficial.
