Facilities Acquisition Specialist

Maintenance Procurement Specialists are key figures in ensuring a facility's optimal functioning by acquiring and procuring maintenance-related goods and services.
Key Responsibilities- Control all purchasing activity for maintenance-related goods and services;
- Monitor, action and escalate stock/parts ordering in alignment with critical rating systems;
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance crew to understand and deliver part requirements;
- Raise purchase orders and manage accounts related communications for serving and capital expenditures;
- Work closely with a range of suppliers to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner;
- Track delivery times and collaborate with the Warehouse team on receipt management;
- Provide high-level purchasing support to ensure stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
- Mechanical and/or electrical parts knowledge is essential;
- The ability to manage competing priorities and critical parts requests is crucial;
- Experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments is desirable;
- Confident and technical communication skills are necessary;
- A team player committed to supporting operations from warehouse to production is ideal.
